The Center of Love Ministry During Covid-19 Pandemic

To all friends & supporters of the Center Of Love for the Disabled, here are some updates on how things are going on in this hard & challenging time that the whole world is passing through.

After a long and sad closure of the Center since mid-March 2020, we returned in September thanks to the Lord, while sticking to several precautionary & safety measures for Covid-19.

Now the Center is serving around 68 children and young adults on a daily basis, providing them academic and vocational training, learning difficulty sessions, early childhood development and physical and speech therapy classes.

Besides that 19-26 children take speech and physical therapy, IQ tests and skills development sessions on an outpatient basis.

In September 2020, we took all the children plus the mothers of the CP (Cerebral Palsy) children to a trip in a nice place in Cairo where they had so much fun and enjoyed the pool! It was like a celebration of our return back.

Then we took them to a club right in the Garbage Village in November 2020 which the children enjoyed very much.

By the end of the same month, we held another celebration for the 10th anniversary to the Center Of Love in which the children had an enjoyable time!

In December 2020, we held a seminar for all mothers, which gave them orientation and knowledge of how to apply to the government for a social services ID card and how to obtain other rights for their disabled children.

New Year’s Celebration was such a happy, delightful event which took place end of December 2020 where all the Center staff & children participated.

Our most special event was the Coptic Christmas celebration in early January 2021 Donors had contributed enough to distribute new outfits for all the Center’s children. God is so gracious.

Five months full of learning and joyful events! We are so grateful to the Lord for graciously providing those impoverished children with happiness, fun, stimulation, refreshment, and supplying some of their physical needs as well.

As we send our love in Christ, we seek your continued prayers & support to improve the lives of those less fortunate children & their families.

We pray for your safety and God’s blessings on you and on people all over the globe.

Sincerely,

Sherry
