She smiled.
The heart-warming smile of a mother who realized she was not alone. With grateful lips, she spoke of her prayers over the last four months. Prayers that God would somehow feed her children and provide for them as they take refuge in a country not their own.
God answers prayers.
Just ask Sumea. Today, our team experienced her faith in the God who provides. The God who delivers. The God who saves. We saw first-hand what God has done in just 3 days through the generosity of others.
This house has gone from an empty dwelling to a home, complete with a stocked kitchen, furniture, running water and the safety of knowing their apartment is secure for at least the next year. For the first time ever, the family all slept in beds last night. There are toys to play with and the promise of an education for the next year.
We believe it.
Join us in prayer for Sumea’s husband and three children still in Sudan. We pray that they will be able to join Sumea in Northern Africa and be re-united. We pray for their provision and protection in Sudan. We believe it.
“… to proclaim the year of the Lords favor… to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.”
Isaiah 61:2-3
